While attempting to input my passphrase for my secret
key while encrypting/signing, Enter/Return is accepted
as a character.

    This is cause by a conflict between ~/.emacs and installd lisp packages. Completly reinstall X/Emacs and rebuild your ~/.emacs by hand, function by function. Please report this to the bugs mailing list.

    Specifically, there is a conflict someplace with Lazy Lock and Mailcrpyt. Disabling Lazy Lock fixes Mailcrypt.
