Hi,

After importing products everything is ok, everything looks ok. But login to admin click on a category add a description to it or something and save. You will see it drops the product count to exactly 1000. At least that is what happens with my shop.

Anybody know why this happens?

i tested on a new magento install, imported over 1000 products to a category, i reindexed, then i added a description to the category in admin, i hit save, and the product count changes to 1000. So its a bug.
