I will be releasing MagicVid 02.1 in the next few days. I have made many improvements since the last release. MagicVid now has a progressbar, has more feedback from each process, and has less depends. Please see the upcoming changelog and releasenotes for the details. Also, I am working on a modified tcrequant program to shrink video with.

Well the first release of magicvid is today. I have been hard at it the last few days trying to get magicvid to a releasable state and setting up my project on sourceforge. I am new to programming and magicvid is still beta so if it don't work don't get mad ;~). If you are going to use magicvid 01 please read the README and magicviddirection files for instructions on setting up and using magicvid. You can also click the "HELP" button on the program to view the directions. Check out our website at: http://magicvid.sourceforge.net/default.html for more docs, links and several scripts for getgui and kaptian that do some ofthe same things that magicvid does just not as well. They were my introduction to programming. See the README in the source file or on the magicvid homepage for a list of depends and where to get them. So far magicvid has only been tested in mdk 9.2 (from source) and mdk 10.1(from source and RPM). A none beta version will be along soon.
