Hello, all.
I've been trying to take a digital photo of everyone in the company,
sufficient to recognize people by. Good photos they're not, but
adequate.
I'm now at the 90% level. So I'll make it public:
I've got a photograph-enhanced employee roster available on our
intranet at
http://intranet/~richard/20010209/index.html
I've no doubt this will rapidly become obsolete as people's phone
numbers change, etc, but I thought it might be useful for recognizing
who's who. It's certainly helped me put names to faces.
Richard
ps. I will happily re-take pictures of people who 1) dislike their
current photo; 2) wander by my desk when I've got the camera
and batteries. A nice bribe helps, but is not strictly required.
Hmm. Fixing this will bias the domain checking. Do you want me still to do it?
Obviously the current behavior is wrong.
I'd suggest: if the domain-check thing doesn't work try some heuristics. In any case all ftp:// and http:// links should be underlined.
