Dear all, sorry for sending this again but this is important to us and maybe you missed it ;-) I went through the mailing list archive. It seems that for a long time power management has been available on the "station side" (cf post from Sam Leffler on 2004-06-30 15:24). Unfortunately I cannot get it to work. Here is my config. 2 laptops running Ubuntu Latest madwifi from svn Latest wireless tools Linksys WPC55AG 802.11 cards I setup one laptop as an access point (AP) I setup the other as a client (STA) When I try to turn on Power Management using iwpriv ath1 power auto I get "Operation not supported" When I measure power consumption on the STA, uding a shunt and an oscilloscope, I see when the card is in transmit mode, receive mode, but even with no traffic at all, I don't see the "sleep mode" of the STA card. Can anyone (Sam Leffer would be great ;-) Help [Update] We went into the code and we were unable to find the location where in if_ath.c the ic->ic_caps is updated using IEEE80211_C_PMGT. Thanks |
