Hi, encouraged by a positive report about getting a Proxim 8480 card to work ( http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/message.php?msg_id=3D6401585), I tried the same with a Mini-PC system with RedHat 9.0 (out of the box- no modifications so far). Using an old 802.11b Orinoco-Card, everything works fine - So I assume, PCMCIA, network etc is alright. However, as soon I insert a new "Proxim Orinoco Gold 8480" Card I get the following error from the cardmanager: "Failed to allocate resource 0(ef010000-ef003fff) for 2:00.0" - and "insmod ath_pci" fails because of no card being present. Playing around with /etc/pcmcia/config.opts ("include memory") did not help.
