I have been having a lot of problems with 'a' and my linux system. 1- FreeBSD system with bridged 5210 based miniPCI acting as AP 2 -5210 miniPCI AP and 3 different 5210 miniPCI nics Problems included hard to associate, DHCP failure or excessive attempts needed to get a lease. No ping, dns, etc. I ditched all the 5210 'a' based, and swithed to a/b/g 5212 cards. Almost all of the problems have gone away w/ 1 exception. A 5212 card associated to 'a' no excessive RX errors. ath0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:0C:41:16:9B:3E inet addr:172.17.1.20 Bcast:172.17.1.255 Mask:255.255.255.0 UP BROADCAST NOTRAILERS RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1 RX packets:95217 errors:1015839 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:8920 TX packets:12685 errors:165 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:199 RX bytes:14053722 (13.4 Mb) TX bytes:1808651 (1.7 Mb) Interrupt:11 Memory:e0f33000-e0f43000 A 5212 card associated to 'b/g' excessive RX errors, but works fine?? Anyone have any ideas why the 5210 cards work sooo poorly!? _Tony |
