The bug didn't show up on my P3 and P4 boxes, only on on athlon K7. ------------------- I think I found another bug, that I can reproduce in a very "creative" way: Start the access-point on the Athlon with this script: ifdown ath0 ifconfig ath0 down rmmod ath_pci rmmod wlan rmmod ath_hal rmmod iptable_filter rmmod ip_tables sleep 2 iwconfig ath0 essid "mirofhome" mode Master rate 11M sleep 3 ifup ath0 sleep 3 iwconfig ath0 essid "mirofhome" mode Master rate 11M iwconfig ath0 ifconfig ath0 Start another PC (D-Link G650 on a PIII laptop), and run a ping <IP-of-AP> Re-run the script on the AP. This crashes the AP about 40% of the time. If it does not crash, re-run the script until a crash. (while keeping the ping running) This reproduces the oops quite consistenty. I'm tracing this down, I have a couple of oopses to work with. The culprit is somewere in wlan.c, but I don't understand exactly where. --Gio' |
