-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hello all I have an EnGenius mini PCI card that came out of one of their POS APs. I would like to use it to make my own AP as it is a high power card. The docs for the ap it came out of said it's a 600mW card but lspci says it's a 400mW card. Either way it got some juice. But iwlist only reports the card as being able to output 17 dbM, about 50mW. But I get 400mW under ath5k. I did run across a bug report, for ath_pci, that said that iwlist is reporting the power output at 10 dB les then it actually is. Was this fixed? Is the card actually transmitting at 27dbM? I don't have the equipment to measure this myself and must rely of what iwlist gives me. So the main question is does iwlist give the correct txpower stetting? Also if it does is there a patch to get more power out of the card using ath_pci? If all this is negative I have heard rumors that there is a patch for ath5k to get AP functions working. I know this is the wrong list for the last question but maybe someone knows.
