Hi, I am sorry, but I do not have a centrino box on windows to replicate the problem. I wonder if you can do some investigations for me, and see if you can determine what is happening. Find a box, and place it in monitor mode (not just run tcpdump). We need to see the contents of the beacon packets, and see if there is a discrepancy. Examine the beacon packets from the madwifi box - they should contain an ESSID, a BSSID, a timestamp value, a beacon interval, Examine the beacon packets from the centrino box - they should contain an ESSID, a BSSID, a timestamp value, a beacon interval, look for differences between the two beacons. In what way does the madwifi beacon differ from the centrino beacon? The beacon packets are crucial - these are the only packets that contain all the information about a network. Thus, any network scanner will read and dissect detected beacon packets. Ticket 1109 describes the use of 0.9.2, which is, well, very old. Have you tried madwifi release 0.9.4? This is a good candidate for adhoc work. Derek. On Thu, 10 Apr 2008, Dennis Edwards wrote: > Hello.
