You are right on the money.

ath_hal: version magic '2.6.20-1.2944.fc6 SMP mod_unload 686 4KSTACKS ' 
should be '2.6.20-1.2944.fc6 SMP mod_unload 586 4KSTACKS '
wlan: version magic '2.6.20-1.2944.fc6 SMP mod_unload 686 4KSTACKS ' 
should be '2.6.20-1.2944.fc6 SMP mod_unload 586 4KSTACKS '
ath_pci: version magic '2.6.20-1.2944.fc6 SMP mod_unload 686 4KSTACKS ' 
should be '2.6.20-1.2944.fc6 SMP mod_unload 586 4KSTACKS '

Now I just need to know how to fix it.

The kernel, headers and devel would appear to be in sync:

# rpm -qa |grep kernel
kernel-headers-2.6.20-1.2944.fc6
kernel-devel-2.6.20-1.2944.fc6
kernel-2.6.20-1.2944.fc6

So the symptom is clear, but not the solution - to me at least.
