Ever since I upgraded I've been in RHEL - literally. Red Hat Hell. Modprobe does not work. Does anyone have any theories as to why they would have malled their modprobe program so bad as to render it useless? Maybe a theory like. Red Hat is trying to give job security to their engineers and just want peons going to school who have no money to pay for support? When I try to use modprobe, it can't find the modules. When I try insmod the module format is invalid. Any ideas??? I'm working with version kernel 2.6.9-5 RHEL 4.0. Should I dump this version of the kernel and jump to Fedora Core 4? Thank you for any help. EXTREMELY FRUSTRATED. John Byrne Software Engineer and Systems Administrator WebSpring |
