Hi all,

I'm not a guru but for me in AP mode Atheros generally works. May be,
the problem is  that You didn't set SSID
This is from my test lab:
/sbin/iwconfig ath0 essid Atheros mode Master channel 40 nick AP
/sbin/ifconfig ath0 192.168.1.2 netmask 255.255.255.0 broadcast
192.168.1.255=20

And works=20
