Hey people, newcomer here, so far please with madman (and its fair lineness to MEXP, previously known as the reason I wasn't switching to linux.) I'm sure this has been asked and answered, but is there a known problem with rescans? I can index from scratch without problems, but when I rescan it stops on certain files, giving the error "Error while rescanning:' and a filename - all of which seem to be oggs. Incidentally, why stop at an problem file? Why not skip it and possibly report a list of problem files after rescan's done? I'd rather have a list of problems I have to look (even if they're due to a madman bug) at than an inability to add new music. Is this due to some database corruption? I'd like to keep my playlists and not chuck ratings I have, and if I can avoid writing xsl to copy those things to another database, that'd be great. Regards, --Bart Alewijnse |
