I'm using Windows XP, I can confirm it, too.
It happens in "Replace all".
Multiple 2C will also cause trouble.
But if there is some other bytes in the search pattern, it's OK.

I confirm it. But it happens only with the "Replace all" function - the single "Replace" works.

Hex-eplacing any not-empty string with empty, if found, "Replace All" will cause program crash.
