People like me who have a disability which limits use of a mouse can never have too many keys.
We have to use lots of shortcut keys.
But two problems:
Actually typing them can be a challenge.
Remembering them can be almost impossible.
Cheat sheets like http://danandsherree.com/upload/2005/08/pse_organizer_shortcuts.pdf help.
But quite a few applications on my PC, and in each I typically only use very few.
What would be wonderful for me would be to be able to send a key combination to the open application.
My dream: I open MadAppLauncher with tilde, touch the 3 key for the Photoshop Elements shortcuts, touch the F key to add the current image to favorites.
Remembering shortcut keys is not confined to disabled people.
So, if you can work out a way to reliably send keyboard shortcuts to open applications, I think you could rename your app, or launch a new one, with a name something like "Shortcut Master" and reach a much wider audience.
So I meant that while each application has many hotkeys, I often only use just a few. hotkeys in each application.
I am not interested in an app that has the dozens of hotkeys available for, say, Photoshop Elements, and I have to find an pick the one I want. I tried something like this on the iPad and finding things and choosing things was too much trouble.
I wish for an open app, exactly like yours, that I can enter and access my own few hotkeys for my own applications.
