hi, i have problems with suspend to ram on my macbook :-( a few days ago it seems to work fine but now my macbook hangs after stopping my tasks. the last messages in /var/log/messages are: Aug 26 00:18:54 (none) kernel: ACPI: PCI interrupt for device 0000:00:1b.0 disabled Aug 26 00:18:54 (none) kernel: sky2 eth0: disabling interface Aug 26 00:18:54 (none) kernel: ACPI: PCI interrupt for device 0000:01:00.0 disabled Aug 26 00:18:54 (none) kernel: usbcore: deregistering driver appleir Aug 26 00:18:54 (none) ifplugd.agent[3221]: Stopping ifplugd for eth0 Aug 26 00:18:54 (none) kernel: Uniform CD-ROM driver unloaded Aug 26 00:18:56 (none) kernel: Freezing cpus ... Aug 26 00:18:56 (none) kernel: Breaking affinity for irq 18 Aug 26 00:18:56 (none) kernel: CPU 1 is now offline Aug 26 00:18:56 (none) kernel: SMP alternatives: switching to UP code after that nothing happens. the macbook doesnt go to sleep and the kernel seems to use a lot of cpu because the fan starts and gets faster. i have to restart the macbook using the power button. i've tried echo mem > /sys/power/state and hibernate-ram with the same results. it is also the same in runlevel 1 without any modules loaded. i think i have changed nothing since it worked but perhaps i'm missing something. i'm using kernel 2.6.18-rc4 with the current patches from svn. my .config file is atached. my linux is booted via efi and lilo. thanks for your help. tobi |
