Hello, all. I'm trying Mactel-boot from USB key drive, but it doesn't go well. Could I ask recent way of booting Linux on Mactel with USB device? Please help me. For your information, it has come so far; - using versions: kernel 2.6.19, rEFIt 0.10, elilo 3.6 - using MacBook: 2006 early version. - USB device is not any iPod series. - Using rEFIt and elilo. rEFIt is going well, but elilo have been going to stop after read initrd.gz. Because ExitBootServices() which is function of EFI library catch elilo.efi, and hold process permanently . - I use debian gptsync to synchronize GPT and MBR on my USB. And I tried boot linux with normal-grub as legacy OS on rEFIt, but also failed. - I made USB disk partition using either Mac OS X's diskutil and GNU parted. When it is an ordinary question,Sorry, but Searching ML-Archive is down, so I post this mail here. Regards. abedaster |
