Hi,
I tried to use grub-efi on my Mac mini Core 2 Duo (Macmini2,1). I can
get the kernel to start, but then the screen gets garbled and nothing
happens. I use a pretty standard 2.6.33 kernel with kernel mode setting
enabled. Grub2 is version 1.98.
Here is my grub.cfg file:
timeout=10
set F1=ctrl-x
menuentry "GNU/Linux" {
search --set -f /boot/default-kernel
linux /boot/default-kernel root=/dev/sda3 ro gpt i915.modeset=1
}
Does anyone have a working setup using grub-efi on similar hardware?

Anyone out there running 64 bit OS on a macbook pro 4,1. I upgraded from 32 bit Red Hat EL 5.4 to 64 bit RHEL 5.4, then again to 64 bit RHEL 5.5, which is actually still in beta. I don't know if I lost the core in the 64 bit 5.4 or not. I see the following from dmesg: SMP: Allowing 2 CPUs, 0 hotplug CPUs . . SMP alternatives: switching to UP code . . SMP motherboard not detected. . . I just replaced my 32 bit RHEL 5.4, with 64 bit RHEL 5.4. Followed the
same procedure with ndiswrapper to get the wireless configured, but it
does not work. Is it possible the windows driver I'm using is 32 bit
and causing problems?

I know that you can shutdown the postmaster and move the postgres data to another machine and simply fire up the postmaster. That won't work with a move from 32 bit to 64 bit. FWIW, a similar law exists here in Canada. At least: you need an export

Back in the day I sponsored a Conway's Life contest for the Classic
PowerPC Macintosh. I promised to award the winner a bottle of beer
from the Front Street Pub, a microbrewery in Santa Cruz.
Well some German guy implemented it all in PowerPC assembly code that
used bit-parallelism to operate on 32 cells simultanously. He was
clearly the winner - he beat the pants off everyone else who entered.
I *still* haven't figured out how his code worked.
Woe was me and woe was him, I was not permitted to send him his bottle of beer!
