White framed movies with Tomb Raider I
Brought to you by:

All movies in Tomb Raider I that appear within the game as well as the
movie played before a new game and before the training level have a
white screen surrounding the movie. If "Skip Lines" is checked also the
skipped lines are white (see attached screenshot).
The intro movies (played before the main menu appears) are black framed
as they should be.
This problem appeared with MacGlide 0.11 as far as I remember.
OS 10.4 Classic, Tomb Raider 1.0 english, MacGlide 0.11,
on several Mac's.

This also affects other games that switch to the Mac display
to show in-game movies on the mac display. The original 3Dfx
hardware was using a passthrough cable to either display the
Mac or the Glide video output on the same monitor.
MacGLide uses a window on top of the game's window. So
instead just switching the signal, the window is moved
off-screen, leaving behind the white pixels. If the game
doesn't care about window update messages (there was no need
to update when using the original hardware), the pixels stay
white until overwritten.
There is no "real" solution, but probably it's suitable to
just set the pixels to black.
