This occurs anytime the program is used to monitor temperatures and is shut down normally. The freeze lasts up to a few seconds. This is not encountered if the program is shut down manually and bootcamp.exe is resumed manually after that

Correction to the freeze: It will not be experienced if you start bootcamp.exe while the temp monitor is still running.

Thank you for the additional details. I will give this bug another look, but I am not confident a fix is possible.

Sorry about that, I just thought I'd give the bug tracker a try. As this one is just a minor but and we know a workaround, I'd hold off on this one until you're done with the other stuff. I've updated teh Priority and Resolution on this one. Thanks!
