Igor Pavlov has updated LZMA SDK for the 7-Zip 15.12 release, available at http://www.7-zip.org/a/lzma1512.7z , just a heads up.

    Hi, Lasse Collin.
I know that major parts of liblzma are based on LZMA SDK http://7-zip.org/sdk.html. But I don't know whether liblzma use the latest version of LZMA SDK.
Is there a place to show the last SDK version (not the first version), which the XZ Utils based on?
for example, in the beginning the XZ Utils is based on SDK Version A.
But later,SDK Version B is optimized and release, and the optimizations are added into XZ Utils. So the last version that XZ Utils based on SDK is Version B.

The current liblzma is based on an old LZMA SDK. It should be updated but at the same time I think it's not a high priority thing for now. When it's updated, perhaps that can be combined with some cleaning up of the liblzma code too. I suppose things like threaded decompression could be more useful to do first. I haven't gotten much done in the past few years so I don't know what will be done and when.

    Hi,Lasse Collin.
You said the current liblzma is based on an old LZMA SDK. Can I know the old SDK version?

I don't remember well. I think the latest was 4.xx (4.42 or newer) when I started XZ Utils but there probably are details from newer versions so it doesn't match exactly any specific LZMA SDK version. XZ for Java is newer and I used the latest LZMA SDK in 2011 as a base.
