(24/sept/2026)Bad news, during development of v3 by me and META AI we did erroneous tests that showed great gains but the compressed data cannot be reconstructed but the IA was saying it could reconstruct, since V3 dont work we will just remove the v3 from the project, the version will be keep is the V2 that works perfectly, my mistake, also the V2 can generate compressed files larger than lz77 original if it have large number of repeated texts

Historical

1977 - Abraham Lempel & Jacob Ziv (Technion, Israel) - Original LZ77 paper "A Universal Algorithm for Sequential Data Compression". Introduced sliding window + lookahead concept. All LZ variants descend from them.
1982 - James A. Storer & Thomas G. Szymanski - LZSS variant, introduced flag to distinguish literal vs (offset,length) token. Basis for our token format.
1984 - Terry Welch - LZW, dictionary variant.
