#1 how to use lz11 ?
I've just spent a couple of hours (not for the first
time) trying to make lz11 print something besides
gibberish on a RH8.0 box with a Z11 printer.
Printer works fine in windoze, so I believe the
hardware is ok.
When I install as option 1 and select a printer type (I
used stcolor) nothing prints at all, the jobs timeout
and expire in the queue.
if I uninstall and reinstall as option 2 it is possible
to make stuff print, but it prints out as a page full
of waivy/moire patterns, nothing recognizable at all.
I've read through the installation instructions
multiple times, tried the install multiple times, but
so far no joy.
Am I being incredibly dense, or are the instructions
somehow short on useful detail?
Please don't take this as a complaint, I t hink it's
wonderful that all of you have worked to make this
available, I'm just becoming a little frustrated with
it. It certainly seems simple enough, so I'd appreciate
someone pointing out to me what dumb thing I'm doing wrong.

Give me more details about your system, printing system, etc.

The new version has much more detailed information of how to
deal with foomatic in the README.
For me it was also not clear in the beginning, even though
being one of the developers until Till devulged the secret
for me.
BTW:
I would ask you to try the latest CVS.
It's worth it!
