Sounds like it should be working or close to it.
Are you getting any error message ? Or is there any output ?

What comes up in the browser ? As far as I can tell you probably have
not linked the lxr to the web server. lxr is a program that generates
web pages and is best run off Apache.

This needs to be in /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf

# lxr configuration
Alias /lxr /usr/local/lxr

<Directory /usr/local/lxr/>
AllowOverride All
</Directory>

I am not sure what you mean by this. If you added the above to your
httpd.conf you would go to http://localhost/lxr to see your files.
