Looking around, there seemed to be more Java than anything else. Even if we were to move to tigis.org (which we're not), it would be a folly to re-implement lxr in Python. Whether or not people prefer perl or python, there's lots of code for lxr and it's in perl, so perl it will stay :-) Of course, what we *really* need is a common object system so you can mix and match perl, python, java, c/c++ etc.....
