Summary: Unable to enter full glimpse REs
Initial Comment:
Glimpse supports regular expressions with characters
such as < & > in them, and also allows these to be
escaped ie \< & \>. However, the http washing code
treats these as illegal and aborts the search request.
Clearly the freetext searching functions should allow a
wider range of permissible inputs than the other scripts.

This has now been fixed in CVS.
If you can install the new version and check that it solves your
problem, then it would be very useful.
