Hello! Yaron Shahrabani has written on Sunday, 12 January, at 14:18: >I'm afraid it would be fairly long, >Short version: >קובץ מועתק >קבצים מועתקים >Long elusive version: >מתבצעת העתקה של קובץ >מתבצעת העתקה של קבצים So then you can use "מתבצעת העתקה של" as common part for "%s קובץ" and "%s קבצים", right? >Grammatically they are both absolutely fine. >If you think it's good enough I'll pass on the bug and just go with it. In any case everything should be tested. I looked into your text with proportional font and it seems the full text should take not more than half of window width, it should be acceptable then. You can test it even without installing anything but translation, you know, just compile, then install translation and run libfm-demo test application. Well, if that isn't good then I can split everything to exact forms (i.e. "Copying file" + "Copying files" + "Copying") which will eliminate "%s file" and "%s files" but will make 3 strings out of each one (those "Copying", "Moving", "Deleting", "Trashing", "Restoring"). That's what I wanted to avoid as I said before. I might be wrong of course, and it's what the "soft strings freeze" is for - to find where developers were wrong in those strings and therefore fix them. >Yaron Shahrabani >On Sun, Jan 12, 2014 at 12:49 PM, Andrej N.
