Although it also may be a problem with lxappearance-obconf package version 0.2.2-2 which was built against that broken package. I would suggest to downgrade both, and upgrade both later to newer ones when they become available. Thank you.

How many times should I repeat the same before you would understand that you have to downgrade your broken package to get rid of your problem? 0.2.2-2 is bad, 0.2.2-1 is OK, it's packaging problem. There is nothing to fix in LXDE.

That problem is caused by libobrender29 version 3.6.0-1 package which is broken. Downgrade it to a previous one, please, and your problem will vanish.

Lubuntu is built with the following packages, which pre-date 3.6.0-1::
libobrender29 3.5.2-8
lxappearance-obconf 0.2.2-2
lxappearance-obconf 0.2.2-2 is built using 3.6.0-1, see https://launchpadlibrarian.net/208938932/buildlog_ubuntu-wily-amd64.lxappearance-obconf_0.2.2-2_BUILDING.txt.gz
As I said, you have to downgrade it.
I see that build using 3.6.0-1. Here is mine:
$ apt list|grep 'libobrender29|lxappearance-obconf'
libobrender29/now 3.5.2-8 amd64 [installed,local]
lxappearance-obconf/now 0.2.2-2 amd64 [installed,local]
