#756 Task bar hangs sporadically

The task bar hangs sporadically for some seconds. It can be reproduced by doing the following two steps fast and in random order:

1. Switching between tasks with the left mouse click.
2. Hovering with the mouse above task bar buttons.
   While the task bar hangs, changing windows can be done normally with ALT+TAB. The attached screenshot shows Firefox focused in task bar, but real window focus is at xterminal.

It seams to me, that after changing window with ALT+TAB, the task bar unfreezes faster.

After removing the plug-ins from task bar, lxpanel do not freeze anymore. Now I will investigate more research by adding the plug-ins one by one again.

After research, in my case, I observe, that lxpanel freezes periodically for some seconds, if the battery monitor plug-in is added to the task bar. After removing it, everything works again.

I assume, that lxpanel freezes each time, the battery monitor is reading the current values, because
$ cat /sys/class/power_supply/BAT1/energy_now"
need some seconds for execution.

May be, this issue is connected with kernel 4.0.x, or my battery is broken.

Thank you very much for reporting this and all investigations done. It seems battery plugin requires redesign ASAP.

After downgrading to kernel 3.17.6-1 and reinstalling kernel 4.0.4-2 including packages linux, linux-headers, and linux-firmware, everything works again.
