#639 Mouse wheel doesn't work on volume icon in system tray

In Lubuntu 12.04 (LTS) scrolling mouse wheel over volume icon in system tray, it played sounds louder and lower. After upgrading to 13.10, it doesn' work any longer: I have to click on volume icon, open the slide widget, and drag its cursor up and down.
How do I fix?

I think it was not an issue with lxpanel but rather something was wrong with 13.10. Could you tell us, please, whether this issue still exists or it's fixed for you now? Thank you in advance.

It is fixed. In lubuntu 14.04 it is ok.
