There is a bug report from Debian-EeePC team leader Ben Armstrong.

Says the keyboard LED Applet doesn't show Caps Lock unless all three
indicators are set.

I confirmed it's reproducible on 0.5.5.

Not reproducible on this system despite people having previously reported this. Please someone who can reproduce it please debug it.
