Shine is a command line tool designed to setup and manage the Lustre file system on a cluster.
It aims at centralize and simplify Lustre filesystem management task with:

  • one human-readable configuration file to describe your filesystem
  • start, stop, format (and more) your filesystem from a unique machine, thanks to a simple command line interface.

This is a bugfix only release.

Shine v1.3 - Oct 2013

Shine now uses a classical numbering scheme for its version. There is no release between 0.912 and 1.3.

  • Fsck progression is display in real time ([#107])

Shine v0.910 - Sep 2011

  • Added update command ([#88]). Some [UseCases] of its possibilities.
  • Added tunefs command ([#91])
  • Various bugfixes:
  • Cache file error ([#75])
  • Hostname resolution error ([#89])
  • More scalable (> 3000 nodes clusters) ([#87], [#92])
