I hope someone can help, because this problem makes no sense. I use luckyBackup to run several tasks, but for some reason when I back up /home/myusername, a few minutes in my X11 session hangs. I can move the mouse, but the screen doesn't update and I can't interact with things. I can't even use the keyboard to switch to a tty. I can ssh in, but didn't see any glaring errors when I checed processes.
I appear to not be generating any log files; when I manage the backup and View Logs, I get a message that no log exists.
Most of the time, X resumes after the backup finishes. Once in a blue moon the computer hangs completely but that's very infrequent.
Only backing up my home directory does this, other backups run fine.
I can only assume there's SOMEthing in my home folder rsync doesn't like, but have no clue where to look to figure out what it might be. Help?

hello June :)
Are you able to see any feedback at the commands output window when the task is running?
does the freeze happen immediately when the task starts eg when rsync is calculating the files to be transferred or at some specific file/folder?
If you run only the rsync command, at a terminal, does it also freeze?
Task properties->validate->copy command to clipboard
and then paste it at the terminal.
