Hi Folks! Not really ltsp-developer stuff, but funny in any way. http://cafe.ph-freiburg.de/ (needs java script) By the time, there are only some few people hanging around there... The students have "holiday" (in german "Semester Ferien"). There we've 20 LTSP clients with a intel celeron 600, 128 RAM and local apps (running KDE 2 with Netscape, SOffice, some nice games ;-)) and the free true type fonts server). The mainboards are from AOpen (MX3S) with a onboard NIC (a kind of a eepro100) and booting the kernel (2.2.16) via PXE. The next release should come whith kernel 2.4, USB support and XFree4. USB is nice here, because the clients have USB and sound connections on the front of the desktop case. So USB ZIP and USB cameras should be able to useable there. Liebe Gruesse, with best regards Stephan Lauffer [ Pedagogical University Freiburg - Germany ] [ http://www.ph-freiburg.de/zik/ ] |
