I have Windows XP-home edition on fairly clean machine
with J2rel.1.4.1_02. I installed/unzipped Analyzer for
the first time, opened a cmd window in that directory
and used java -jar ltsa.jar to invoke (extension is
needed with Windows). The new window "Lidren Technical
Stock Analyzer" opened okay. Clicked on File and
download, Add Stock, entered a ticker (cln) and watched
the progress bar slowly sweep from left to right,
completely. Then the app seemed to freeze, but after
waiting five minutes I clicked Quit and that popup
closed. If I restart the program then "cln" is
displayed in the download Stock Data window, but not in
the main windows drop-down list (lower-left frame of
window). I noticed a "cln" file in your stocks
subdirectory with a header, but only a month of stock
data - I had selected 1 year. Returning to the DOS cmd
window, there is "File Problem..." followed by
java.lang.ArrayIndexOutofBoundsException:0 repeated
many times.
I went to the Download Stock Data pop-up again and
deleted the cln ticker, then re-entered it and asked
for 5 years of days. The progress indicator took much
longer and seems to be working okay. I have to quit the
download window again, and this time there is no data
in the "cln" file in the stocks folder. Returning to
the cmd winow, there are many (about 65) repeats of the
error:
java.lang.ArrayIndexOutofBoundsException:String index
out of range: -45
and another "File Problem..." error.
I hope this helps you find the problem. I am

One more thing, I just noticed that if I go to yahoo and
download a ticker file into you stock subdirectory, then
start up the TA program, then the ticker appears in your
list and it can be charted, etc. So, this seems to be a work
around for now.
Thanks,
