Even syslog tests (not syslog-ng) also using /etc/init.d/syslog script. if Zentoo like systems have /etc/init.d/syslog-ng script. we can modify like this for syslog-ng. Replace *syslog_cmd=3D"syslog-ng"* to syslog_cmd=3D"/etc/init.d/*syslog**" It will work... Please excuse me, if my view is wrong.
