Hi Vito, first of all .. thank you ! I'm gonna upload the latest sources tonight, so you'd be able to download it at least tomorrow morning. I'll send you another mail with the link later. -Alex On Thursday 05 August 2004 17:17, vito piserchia wrote: > Finally I have set up my first lr101 router. > Great Work, Thanks > > But now we are trying to set up a VPN on two NICs in a bound > configuration. > I don't know if it is possible or not but .. > > in the /var/log/boot.log i have seen this lines: > >bonding.c:v2.2.14 (June 30, 2003) > >bonding_init(): either miimon or arp_interval and arp_ip_target module > >parameters must be specified, otherwise bonding will not detect link > >failures! see bonding.txt for details. > >bond0 registered without MII link monitoring, in load balancing > >(round-robin) mode. > >bond0 registered without ARP monitoring > > ip link show > > 1: lo: <LOOPBACK,UP> mtu 16436 qdisc noqueue > link/loopback 00:00:00:00:00:00 brd 00:00:00:00:00:00 > > > 2: bond0: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,MASTER> mtu 1500 qdisc noop > link/ether 00:00:00:00:00:00 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff > > > > 3: eth0: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP> mtu 1500 qdisc pfifo_fast qlen 100 > link/ether 00:50:da:63:bb:f0 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff > 4: eth1: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP> mtu 1500 qdisc pfifo_fast qlen 100 > link/ether 00:40:63:d8:26:be brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff > 5: eth2: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP> mtu 1500 qdisc pfifo_fast qlen 100 > link/ether 00:40:63:d8:26:64 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff > 6: dummy0: <BROADCAST,NOARP> mtu 1500 qdisc noop > link/ether 00:00:00:00:00:00 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff > 7: imq0: <NOARP> mtu 1500 qdisc noop qlen 30 > link/void > 8: imq1: <NOARP> mtu 1500 qdisc noop qlen 30 > link/void > 9: tunl0@NONE: <NOARP> mtu 1480 qdisc noop > link/ipip 0.0.0.0 brd 0.0.0.0 > 10: gre0@NONE: <NOARP> mtu 1476 qdisc noop > link/gre 0.0.0.0 brd 0.0.0.0 > 11: ipsec0: <NOARP,UP> mtu 16260 qdisc pfifo_fast qlen 10 > link/ether 00:40:63:d8:26:be brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff > 12: ipsec1: <NOARP> mtu 0 qdisc noop qlen 10 > link/ipip > 13: ipsec2: <NOARP> mtu 0 qdisc noop qlen 10 > link/ipip > 14: ipsec3: <NOARP> mtu 0 qdisc noop qlen 10 > link/ipip > > > I am not able to find anything about bonding.c. Finally I have set up my first lr101 router.
Great Work, Thanks
But now we are trying to set up a VPN on two NICs in a bound
configuration.
I don't know if it is possible or not but ..
in the /var/log/boot.log i have seen this lines:
>bonding.c:v2.2.14 (June 30, 2003)
>bonding_init(): either miimon or arp_interval and arp_ip_target module
>parameters must be specified, otherwise bonding will not detect link
>failures! see bonding.txt for details.

I am not able to find anything about bonding.c. Maybe i must learn more
about that?!
Thus, I need more information about the bounding process on the lr101
router and I would like to take a look on the kernel source you have use
to build up the router .
Could you post me the source or a link where i can found it.
Thanks in advance

Is Padlock used by lr101 and well-supported? |

i'm back .. As i wrote in an other message, i'm going to install an LR101-machine to performe an vpn tunnel between the two office of my company. For this purpose, i have choosed the following harware configuration: - travla C146 - via epia cl-10k - 64MB kingstone Compact Flash - 512MB Kingstone DDR 330MHz (PC2700) - 1 Riser PCI-Card - 1 CF-IDE adaptator (for travla 146/147) My needs require, also, a system failover on a DSL line , thus i need a compatible ADSL modem that works fine under uclinux and lr101. Is there anyone that have the same configuration, and can help me in the installation procedure ? Any feedback is appreciate |

hi all I'm going to use the lr101 on a 10Mb fibre channel. As described in the hardware page of the site , i' ll use the via epia cl-10000 motherboard to encrypt all the ipsec-vpn-tunnels between the two offices of my company. My question is : with this hardware can i support the bandwith of my fibre channel ? thanx in advance |

Dear Open Source developer I am doing a research project on "Fun and Software Development" in which I kindly invite you to participate. You will find the online survey under http://fasd.ethz.ch/qsf/. The questionnaire consists of 53 questions and you will need about 15 minutes to complete it. With the FASD project (Fun and Software Development) we want to define the motivational significance of fun when software developers decide to engage in Open Source projects. What is special about our research project is that a similar survey is planned with software developers in commercial firms. This procedure allows the immediate comparison between the involved individuals and the conditions of production of these two development models. Thus we hope to obtain substantial new insights to the phenomenon of Open Source Development. With many thanks for your participation, Benno Luthiger PS: The results of the survey will be published under http://www.isu.unizh.ch/fuehrung/blprojects/FASD/. We have set up the mailing list fa...@we... for this study. Please see http://fasd.ethz.ch/qsf/mailinglist_en.html for registration to this mailing list. _______________________________________________________________________ Benno Luthiger Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich 8092 Zurich Mail: benno.luthiger(at)id.ethz.ch _______________________________________________________________________ |

Hi, does anybody have had something similar like this : - LILO is loading correctly "LILO Loading <TEXT>." - LILO is now rebooting the whole machine instead of loading the Kernel The "dot" indicates, that everything was successfully found ... but why is it restarting ? All this is happening on a CL6000 with CF<->IDE Adapter ... Have tried it with various adapter and CFs - always the same ... Any suggestions ? -Alex -- Bruno-Alexander Leonhardt |

Hi, has anybody got a error message from freeswan, something like "...OAKLEY_DES_CBC...not supported.." ? I'm actually trying to establish a L2TP/IPSec from a WinXP-to-LR101. With Win98 L2TP/IPSec VPN Client I didn't get such a error... Cheers, Alex |
