hi a Debian user has some questions ----- Forwarded message from Wayne Topa <wt...@dm...> ----- >From debian Thu Aug 16 06:02:01 2001 Date: Thu, 16 Aug 2001 00:01:12 -0400 From: Wayne Topa <wt...@dm...> To: debian@Tonelli.sns.it Subject: pconf-detect User-Agent: Mutt/1.3.20i Sir I have a few questions concerning your pconf-detect program. 1. Do I have to have an IRQ assigned to the printer before the program will work? I use parport 0 and do not use an IRQ because printers don't require them to work. Your program can't find my printer, even when is printing! 2. Why did you name the package pconf-detect and the executable pconf_detect? It will probably be installed and then removed when most people can't find the executable. You have to look in /var/lib/dpkg/info/pconf-detect.list to see what the executable file is. Thanks anyway Best Regards Wayne -- A user will find any interface design intuitive...with enough practice. _______________________________________________________ ----- End forwarded message ----- -- A Mennucc "È un mondo difficile.
