Oops! There is one major bug in release 0.02 that makes lpPDF inoperable. I've fixed it by patch 0.02-2. Please look in our patch-section to find out how to download and install the patch.
Testers are encouraged to install this patch.
Only a few days after the release of 0.01-1 here's the new release 0.02-1. It now supports filenaming through the Postscript title. This was something I thought of when I was testing the work with windows. I printed out a Microsoft PowerPoint-Presentation and saw, that the title of this presentation was given as the Postscript title.
I had small problems with " " (spaces) and ps2pdf, but fixed this.
Feel free to download the new release from our download-section. All testers are encouraged to do so.
I recently tried a combination with lppdf on a printserver with a samba-printer-share and printed a MS-PowerPoint-Presentation to it. lppdf converted the document and put it to another samba-share as an output. Besides the (see the bug tracker) buggy filenaming, it all worked just fine.
I will post a "help wanted" for someone, who could develop a windows-printer-driver to make lppdf more comfortable for windows user.
I have just configured all the tracking systems for lppdf. So now it's possible to submit a bug, feature request, support request and -for developers- a patch release.
The first file release of lpPDF is out. Check out the files section to download the "source" (it's perl, so no compiling has to be done) for lpPDF. Please read the Release Notes.

Hi everyone!
The new project on sourceforge.net, lpPDF has started. lpPDF has the goal to implement PDF printing into an existing Linux Printing System. So you can simply print on a virtual printer called lppdf and your document is automatically converted to PDF.
There is already a 0.01-version of this project, that will be uploaded in the next week.
To all developers: This project needs your help!
There are a lot of things in the todo-List, so anyone interested in lpPDF should join the developing team.... read more
