Hi all, new fan of Logicmail. I use a BB 8830 world edition, I do sometimes run low on memory. Whenever I try to add more than two account in the logicmail, specially yahoo, the app never manages to start after rebooting/exit. Is it due to low memory or a the app issue, since its working fine with 2 accounts. And is there anyway to send mails from the address book itself. Have a nice day. :) Vivek. |

Hello, I am a new user to Logic mail and have been struggling to get it to work consistently. Upon initial setup each of two separate mail accounts would test perfectly and initially appeared to work well, on each subsequent search for mail there would be no attempt to open the server. I have found through trial and error that it is necessary to exit the application at the end of each use. Logic mail then re boots at each opening and works perfectly. Hope this is a help to others. Hi, I just installed LogicMail on my blackberry to read my office mail when I work at home. Seems to work great! Except for sending mail. I can use the smtp server provided by my phone provider (Vodafone), but our mail server doesn't accept my mail for policy reasons. When I add my mail to the native blackberry mail app as IMAP service, I am able to send mail without providing a SMTP server. I read on the internet that it's possible to send mail through SMTP, because the mail is being saved in "Sent Items" folder, which will be checked by the server, and then sent. I was wondering if this is possible in LogicMail as well, or maybe this will be added in the future? Now it seems I *have* to specify a SMTP server when configuring an IMAP account. It would be nice if I could send mail the same way as blackberry does this. I rather not have this mail account in my native mail, because I don't want to be bothered with my office mail when I don't have to. Great app though, looks great too! Kind regards, Roland. |

Hello! (again) here's a request for enhancement, as in BB's default mailer, would be nice for a sending account to define a default Bcc to the sending email or eventually to a custom one (commonly to receive own sent emails). I think that's a common feature, and I'm missing it in LogicMail, have to add the Bcc address manually every time. Any thought? Regards, -- wwp |

Hello there, I'm using the 2012/07/27 beta version.. is it me of LogicMail constantly loses all account's folder options? Every time I start LogicMail and edit in an account's options, the folder options are unassigned and I have to set folders assignments again - this seems to lead to *data loss* when I send an email while the Sent folder is *unexpectedly* unassigned (the outgoing email is sent, but apparently not saved locally). The issue has absolutely nothing to do with your phone or Internet connection. Its a known bug, due to AKO's IMAP server not implementing a feature that almost every other IMAP server out there provides, and LogicMail not correctly handling this case. Here's the ticket: http://www.logicmail.org/ticket/376 The reason it hasn't been addressed yet, is pretty much the same reason that none of the other current issues have been addressed. Despite being a free and open-source project, to which anyone with the appropriate skills could contribute, LogicMail has been almost entirely a one-man side-project since its inception. That one man (me) is now being paid to spend most of his working hours on a different (and far less niche) BlackBerry app, which has significantly cut into the time and motivation left during weekends/evenings to keep plugging away at LogicMail. That being said, I really should get this issue fixed, since there are now several people affected by it. P.S. If any Java developers are on this list, and have any interest in contributing, I'll gladly accept whatever you have to offer. -Derek On 06/30/2012 01:08 PM, Green, Jim MSG RET wrote: > I continue to get that error message and now no message will download on my > Blackberry 9810 regardless of connection. Whhen I'm online (connected to data services), if I press the Del key over a message in list, I see "opening connection.." in status bar. Is it when logicmail removes from server? If I'm not connected, will it remove when next connection will happen? Another question is that my logicmail global settings say "Remove deleted messages? Jeremy, I too get the same various numbers appearing after the A. More often than not I get an error message saying "Message could not be loaded", I get this error both on and off wi-fi so it cannot be a connection issue. I have an incredible connection speed at home and yet still I get that error message. I rely heavily on my AKO mail so I am in need of an alternative to Logicmail if I cannot resolve these issues. Please let me know if you find anything out or are able to resolve your issues. Welcome back from Afghanistan and glad you're safe.
