Hi,
Thanks for your response! Where is the PatternLayout documentation? The only document I found was the one recommended on the website ("Logging and Tracing in C++ Simplified").
Regards,
Monica

Hello,
As explained in the PatternLayout documentation, you can format the date
using the strftime function syntax, for instance :
log4j.appender.A0.layout=org.apache.log4j.PatternLayout
log4j.appender.A0.layout.ConversionPattern=%d{%d/%m/%Y %H:%M:%S} - %p - %m%n

Objet : [Log4cpp-devel] log4cpp timestamp
Hi all,
I'm very new to the log4cpp library, and I was just wondering if the
library provides a function to translate the timestamp into the readable
format that is provided by the "date" command? For example, log4cpp logs
the following:
995871335 ERROR main_cat: This is an error.
Instead of this, can log4cpp do this:
Thu Apr 8 18:17:38 PDT 2004 ERROR main_cat: This is an error.
Thanks for your time and help.
Regards,
Monica
