Will log4cpp be updated to reflect the log4j 1.2 class name changes? Specifically, Priority and Category were changed to Level and Logger, respectively, to be compatible with JDK 1.4's logging.
Personally, I hope Sun adopts Log4J...
Thanks,
Marlon

For those (like us) who use both Java and C++ in their projects, it is really important to keep Log4cpp API as close as possible to the original log4j.
Marlon's question is important, please reply.

To answer the original question: I think many log4cpp users (myself included) like to see its API stay close to log4j's. That implies adopting JDK1.4's naming convention in some future release of log4cpp.
Whether this actually will happen depends on how much time and effort people can contribute to the project. log4cpp is a volunteer based project, on which most developers (including me) can spend only a very limited portion of time, so I'm very open to (good) contributions.
Of course the good news is that since this feature so important to you, you will want to volunteer to help out ;-)
Seriously, if you want to help, just mail me.

Bastiaan
