Is it possible to build LOG4C  on WinCE7 platform? Whether the LOG4C

[Log4c-devel] configuration file logging failure and log file reading

Hi all,

 

I am trying to use log4c for my application logging. For implementing
rolling policy, I used log4c rolling file APIs. I understood from Log4C
developers guide that the rolling policy could be achieved by editing
the configuration file (log4crc). I tried editing the appender name to a
log file path in the configuration file. But the application run without
logging. 

 Can anyone please tell me  how to implement rolling log mechanism using
log4c

I edited the last two lines in the configuration file for logging.

Please let me know how the logging has done through the log4crc
configuration file??

 

Also I want to know how the log file reading  could be performed using
log4c APIs?I tried with simple file operations to read the logs from a
log file. But it fails.

[Log4c-devel] log4c compilation in linux 64 bit

Hi,

We are planning to use log4c as a logging framework in our product.
We were trying to integrate log4c as a static lib, , we were able to link it  only in linux 32 bit.
But we are facing issues while linking as a static lib in linux 64 bit, hpux .

We wanted to know anybody has integrated log4c with these platforms and also is it mandate to use dynamic lib (liblog4c.so)
Instead of liblog4c.a in the product.

Please share your thoughts on this.

version 1.2.3 has been released. This release contains important bugfix
in syslog appender. There are also updates for better integration with
recent Linux distributions:

* use UTF-8 encoding in AUTHORS file
* update rpm packaging
* update FSF address in license and headers
* manpage for log4c-config
* pkgconfig file
* fixed memory leaks in log4c_ini()/log4c_fini()
* use more recent autotools

new version of log4c has been released. It is mainly bugfix and
portability release, addressing collected bugreports
and patches:

* removed warning in m4 macro
* added log4c_appender_syslog_set_facility()
* rollingfile appender crash fixes
* test updates
* load only first log4crc file
* fixed crash on messages longer than 1024 bytes
* added one missing C++ declaration
* fixed reopening of the stream appender
* proper coppy message over end of the file in mmap appender
* portability improvements:
  * support for XCode 3 and OSX 10.5
  * support build with MinGW
  * build tests in FreeBSD
  * try to use C89 compiler (but va_copy or __va_copy still needed)
* various small other fixes

Some other notes and self-introduction:

I'm part of product team in EMI project (http://eu-emi.eu) and we're
using log4c in our product for a while (Logging and Bookkeeping, part of
gLite middleware). There were an issue needed to fix in log4c and there
were no active development anymore. So I became project administrator
and collected accumulated fixes too.

Hi,
 I dont know if I am posting the right forum. I had previously asked this
question in stackoverflow, didn't get any answers. So am posting it here.
I would like to be able to create a new log file with each execution of the
application. Is it possible to do this, by only modifying the log4crc config
file
I am trying to name a log like  Log_072520011_141156
