Hi! I've been playing with 0.8 this weekend, fixed some bugs w the intention of trying to actually move over my production to that one. Right now, there's only one showstopper for me, and it's the MESS-thingies. I'm only getting crackling and distorted sound out of them. Werner, do you have any hint as to where/when it was introduced? (I'd guess the DSSI-stuff). I think I compiled it w the DSSI-things, perhaps I should try without....? It sounds a bit like the metronome did once (IIRC, that time it was just a buffer that wasn't memcpy:d w zeros). Perhaps it's just my system, has anyone else tried the latest CVS-things with the softsynths having it working? Robert? Anyway, as I said, there's only one showstopper, for me. There are things that are around that might be classified as annoyances, on a wide scale of course, but they appear to be fixable even for me. Not to mention there are annoyances in the 0.7 as well. There's a lot of things that have been improved, so things are looking quite good. I guess I haven't tried everything yet, either, but I loaded a major 0.7-project, and everything worked right out of the box except the softsynths. I'm mighty impressed! /Mathias |
