No. I think I know most of the quirks of an sb-live, infact I think the card that is in this computer is the one I modded (waaaay back I tried to use it under windows with APS drivers... it did work). I think this card has suffered one to many current spikes, it was a long time ago I last got any sound out of the wavetable of this card. > > > The first time i pressed play (was play+rec) I got: > > "tickValues(0x40eeb41c) not found(1) > > Aborted" > > ... Ok, I didn't notice it when running normally. It is very noticable when running Jack->dummy. > > > - Audio restart does not work. > > > > - what about editing midi controllers, does it work? MIDI stops working, atleast the softsynths stop making sound. It works as long as I don't touch my midi keyboard, as soon as I try to use that the corresponding softsynth stops working. Sometimes it starts to work again after a while, stops again as soon as I touch the keyboard... it is all very fishy. > > > As it happens it seems that just restarting Jack helped...?!?
