When the button is checked it means read the midi configuration from the chosen template (or song), instead of letting MusE automatically fill the midi ports with all devices at startup. This is what you want if you are choosing your own user template (versus a built-in one). It should be automatically set depending on whether you choose a 'User folder' template or a 'Global folder' template file. So you shouldn't have to worry about it. Just choose your template from your 'User folder', and carry on. The new 'browse' button of course helps you select the file, while the new 'back' button lets you reset the file to the default global template 'default.med'. Tim. |
