Hi Pieter. Since the metronome is sent only to Audio Output tracks selected by you, you should be able to increase the Audio Output track's volume. Maybe create an Audio Output track just for the metronome. The Midi click is another story - it can be a bit tricky since you must know the note numbers and channel for the triggered sounds etc. I think by default it is set up to trigger a standard General Midi device, and last time I checked I think it worked, but still it's a bit tricky if you are triggering a non-standard drum device. Keep trying... > > 2.) I like to use the mastertrack to set all time signatures and tempos. > To do this I mainly use the "List" tool. I have heard this complain before, so I checked it again and I have no trouble setting 7/8, 9/8, and 9/4 etc. using either the list or graphic. As long as you use the up/down arrows to adjust the numbers, everything should be fine. However, just now, I did notice that you cannot *manually* enter some of the numbers mentioned. That's probably what you, and others, were trying to do. So thanks for pointing that out (again), I see the problem now, and I will try to fix it. > > 3.) Yes, this is a weird bug that I've tried to fix before. It only seems to happen on certain set-ups. I run Mandriva and it never happens here, but on the rare occasion when I run Ubuntu, I see the problem sometimes. I actually thought I had fixed it, but back to the drawing board... You can try the test Robert suggested, to give us some ideas, but yeah, it's a bug. I will try to address this. After you close the window and save the song, please try attaching the /HOME/.MusE file so we can see if various settings are being stored. And if possible, attach the song file as well, since I believe settings are also stored on a per-song basis. Should be of help to us. > > 4.) No trouble with drum tracks here, whether playing through a Fluidsynth track drum soundfont, or playing through my Roland TR-505 box, or playing through Addictive Drums dssi-vst synth. Perhaps Hydrogen is sensitive to the note durations, most percussive devices shouldn't be, they should just trigger and then ignore the note-off message. Look for a setting in Hydrogen which 'ignores note-offs'. You may open your MusE drum track in the piano-roll editor instead of the drum editor, and try lengthening the notes there. I've not had much success running Hydrogen. My last attempt resulted in one successful run and then after that, she refuses to run any more. I must try latest versions...
