In the piano roll editor, you can step with the on screen keyboard (the large 'S' button) or with external midi (the 5-pin DIN connector beside the 'S'). *** Bug! I tried it in the drums editor and it doesn't appear to be working. Bug! Stepping affects the settings midi ports list. The ports disappear but reappear on the next step. *** MusE listens for steps from *all* channels on *all* ports. The midi port does *not* even have to be connected (routed) to a midi track. So if by chance you have an ALSA midi port and a Jack midi port both coming from the same device, even if unconnected to any track, you will see double steps - one step for each port. Tim. |
