Is CVS the "most current version" that I should test against? > The only thing that makes me a little scared are the notorious clicks and > crackles I've been plagued with ever since I moved to a dual-core system. > Surely someone else must have stumbled on this?! Yes, I'm on an AMD Turion and that sometimes is a problem but I can't say I've noticed it recently since I haven't been using Muse with a realtime kernel (i.e. I have been running a "regular kernel" with user interrupts but higher latency in jack). > I can work around it by starting MusE such that it only uses one core, then > it's all ok. > > I am however reluctant to leave it at that. I sometimes boot with only 1 cpu dedicated to my system and then I use the other cpu for my vm's or cpu intensive work. Thats pretty cool if I can tell Muse directly to only use say the second cpu (without doing a taskset). I wonder if that would help the "noise dump" I sometimes get that when a track first starts playing.
